We're proud to announce that we're bringing our world-class conversion services to Europe. We've recently opened a conversion shop in Slovenia and we're currently accepting a cameras for full-spectrum conversions.

Our Astrophotography Conversion Service replaces the camera’s internal hot mirror filter to allow expanded spectral response that covers the H-alpha and sulfur II emission lines. After conversion, the camera will have a greater than 4 fold increase in sensitivity in the H-alpha line compared to a stock camera, and a greater than 6 fold increase in sensitivity in the sulfur II line. This conversion will maintain the dust reduction feature in the camera and uses multicoated glass to reduce reflections and artifacts.

†These cameras contains an internal diagnostic IR Led. This can cause light leaks when using very long exposures and high ISOs in the H-alpha and IR enabled conversions, in the range of 30 second exposures at 6,400 ISO. The A7RII, A7RIII, & A7RIV additionally can have fine horizontal artifacts across the frame in highlighted areas in the IR enabled conversions due to the different sensitivity of some rows of pixels. This issue can be avoided on the Nikon Z5, Z6, Z7, Z6II, & Z7II, & Z8 when using silent shutter mode.

A Note on the EOS R Series: The Canon R series mirrorless bodies do not have an internal IR LED, however many RF LENSES do! So, using most RF lenses on a converted R-series body can still cause IR light leaks, while using adapted EF lenses is mostly safe. Click here to read more about this effect.

All of our conversions and converted or modified cameras come with a 1 year warranty for post-conversion malfunctions and electronic issues related to the conversion service. This warranty does not include wear and tear repairs such as, but not limited to; shutter failure. Warranty does not cover user-caused damage, or other issues unrelated to our conversion services or camera modifications.

We do not recommend combining wide angle lenses (wider than 35mm) with astro-modified sensors. Astrophotography thoroughly tests the optics of any camera system and lens. We have an in-depth article here on the issues with modified cameras and astrophotography. Corner sharpness performance is heavily tied to the lens being used, wide angle lenses compound this issue. We provide the highest quality glass possible, however, with certain body-lens combinations corner sharpness loss may occur.
